The Black Onyx Clownfish carry the name Onyx because they are a special True Percula to grow up to have an abnormal amount of black coloration on their body as opposed to the majority orange of the common True Percula Clownfish. Juvenile Black Onyx will still show a large amount of black margins but will continue to develop stronger black margins around the white as they age.

As with most clownfish they will eat practically anything they are given and should be fed a variety of foods.
