Pithos Crab

The Pithos Crab is a secretive marine crab that enjoys hiding among live rock and reef crevices. As part of a Clean-Up Crew (CUC), it can help scavenge uneaten food and organic debris, supporting aquarium cleanliness and helping reduce waste build-up. Its interesting behaviour makes it a unique addition to a marine aquarium.

Best suited to a peaceful, established marine tank with plenty of rockwork and hiding places, compatibility with other invertebrates and reef inhabitants can vary. Monitor interactions carefully and provide supplemental food if natural food sources are limited.
