The necessity of using trace elements has been known in marine aquaria for decades.

The introduction of modern water analysis offers completely new possibilities for monitoring the consumption of trace elements in saltwater aquariums. In the process, new insights have also emerged into which trace elements are relevant and in what proportion they are consumed. Important individual elements such as vanadium, rubidium or selenium were often neglected in the past. It is also now known that certain elements such as iron and zinc must be specially stabilized, otherwise they are not available.

Application:

Nyos® ION ELEMENTS 2 CA/MG is not added to the aquarium, but to the Nyos® ION-B CA/MG solution. The target dosage is 20ml per liter of Nyos® ION-B CA/MG. To get a feel for your aquarium's needs, start with 10ml and then increase the value continuously over 2-4 weeks until your trace element levels are in the target range. For monitoring purposes, we recommend regular ICP analysis of your aquarium.

If no trace elements have been added to your aquarium in the past, it may take some time before the increase in trace element concentrations becomes noticeable.
