Marine Accessories

Both professional marine aquarium owners and enthusiastic amateurs can suffer from similar problems with their aquariums. Essentially, they can sometimes look a little underwhelming – or even bland - because there is a lack of diversity. This is where aquarium accessories can make all the difference. Let's look at just three examples of the impact they can have.

Anyone who wants to raise their frag rocks up to create a multi-layered effect will need a suitable rack. Frag racks also allow recently fragmented corals to heal and begin growing again. These accessories can hold large frag plugs or smaller ones, depending on the design. The number of holes that come with frag racks varies to suit all sizes of aquariums.

The choice of feeding accessory you use for your aquarium won't have an immediate impact on its appearance in the same way that other accessories can. However, by varying the way you deliver feed to corals, for example by a feeder pipette, you can promote better results over time. Alternatively, why not experiment with feeding tweezers to see whether they work out better for you?

When it comes to coral propagation, the choice of accessory can be equally as important as your feeding method. Accessories like coral primers, nectars and active carbs can all have a substantive effect on the way corals propagate in aquariums, each helping to promote a more diverse number of corals in your tank. It is not always about choosing the right putty and glue for your corals.
