There's a high chance if you're reading this then you're new to the marine hobby, you may already have a freshwater tank or just be looking to dive straight into the fascinating world of marine aquariums. It's our opinion that a marine tank is no harder to keep than a freshwater aquarium. The basics are ultimately the same, keep your water quality good and the fish and coral will take care of themselves.

Now ... lets talk fish for beginners

Here at Kraken Corals we pride ourselves on good healthy livestock at the best possible price and as such we only purchase our fish livestock from Tropical Marine Centre.

Tropical Marine Centre (TMC) has been supplying marine fish and invertebrates for almost 50 years. First things first and often overlooked is making sure your stock is in good condition before you actually purchase it! Any good retailer should never sell stock that isn't ready to go and we pride ourselves on conditioning stock before it leaves us. if you are unsure about the health of something then simply do not buy it. If it is a known fussy feeder then ask to see it eat. If you are unfamiliar with a particular species then ask or research them. We have free to use wifi which is always handy but we are more than happy to talk you through requirements of a potential purchase.
